On future programmes, Gadkari said he would address a press conference on December 24 in Delhi to spell out the party's policies.
Gadkari, presently a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, said he would retain the same national executive that was headed by his predecessor Rajnath Singh.
Earlier, Gadkari was accorded a grand welcome by party workers and office bearers on his arrival to the city after becoming the BJP chief.
BJP state leader Kirit Somayya, Hansraj Aher, MP (Chandrapur) and a number of Vidarbha BJP legislators including Chainsukh Sancheti, Sudhakarrao Deshmukh, Davendra Phadanvis, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, City Mayor Maya Iwnate and former MP Banwarilal Purohit were present at the airport to receive him.
