A 'Hasya Kavi Sammelan' by noted Indian poets had Singapore's Indian diaspora audience in splits. The Sammelan, organized by Charkula Arts Academy which is promoting Indian arts and culture since 1980 here, had the Indian diaspora audience in splits as poets cracked jokes and recited funny couplets one after another for over two hours.

Sharma, known for narrating anecdotes with his deadpan expression, delivered a hilarious account of a Ram Lila in which he played the role of Sita.

Saral Sampat of Jaipur and Sunil Jogi of Uttar Pradesh enthralled the audience with their short, sharp and crisp narratives on humour.
