The mehendi ceremony, which was to be observed ahead of the wedding, was observed on April 13 at the Mirza residence and Marfa band was organised as part of the celebrations.
Sandhya and Bhavana, Hyderabad's reputed mehendi designers, were called to apply mehendi to Sania, her spokesperson told reporters.
Shantanu and Nikhil-designed Sania's outfit for the reception, to be held on April 15.
