A Mumbai bookie said Sunday’s IPL final alone will get them business of Rs. 3,000 crore from India, Pakistan, Dubai and Sharjah. IPL-3 has witnessed betting of about Rs. 40,000 crore, he said.
Bets are also on for the batsmen scoring 50. Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar is a favourite at Rs. 1.2 for a rupee bet.
Indian bookies are also placing bets on who would replace Lalit Modi as IPL chief. Former cricketer Ravi Shastri and BCCI President Shashank Manohar are favourites.
