"I am very lucky to have met Sehwag. People don't even get a chance to meet their idols and here I was getting tips from him," said Zol.
So, what prompted Sehwag to share his thoughts with the lad? "I happened to tell him that I was the highest run-getter in the U-16 category last year. He was very impressed and told me that he would give me his bat."
Zol cherishes every tip he got from his 'hero'. He told me, "Just keep scoring runs. Never back off from tough situations. But, at the same time, be happy with what you score. He also gave me his autographed bat," said Zol.
So, does he plan to keep the bat safely or does he plan to thwack the ball with it? "I plan to use it. Though I haven't used it as yet, I will because, after all, it is Sehwag's bat."
Though Zol too has a record to his name, he maintains that eclipsing Sehwag's feats in the world of cricket do not cross his mind. "I am not thinking on those lines. But, definitely, I want to play like him. I want to let the bat do the talking. I also want to come out all guns blazing from tough situations like Sehwag."
