After much speculation about the female lead of the film, Deepika Padukone has been finalised to star opposite South superstar Rajinikanth in his comeback movie Kochadaiyaan. "Guys. Deepika Padukone was also roped in to star opposite Rajini in Rana, but the film has been put on hold owing to Rajini's ill health.

A few days back, the first look poster of Rajinikanth sporting a muscular look was released.

Kochadaiyaan will be a hi-tech 3D film and will be the first with performance capturing technology to be produced in India.

James Cameron's mega hit Avatar and Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tin Tin were made with the same technology. But Rajini fans would also see the cine-icon performing his own stunts in the movie.

The story, screenplay and dialogue of the film is written by KS Ravikumar.
