Not only are the Chandigarh duo in demand for various road shows organised by international automakers, they've now even cracked their way on to the silver screen - as the stunt team in the remake of Zanjeer, the movie that launched Amitabh Bachchan as the Angry Young Man of Indian cinema.
Singh will choreograph a car chase in the movie, to be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. He had also choreographed a car chase scene in the director's previous film, Mission Istanbul. Sidhu will perform the stunts as the double of the film's lead actor, South Indian superstar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja.
Fitting the billWith driving skills accumulated over years in the national rallying circuit, the director felt Singh and Sidhu would be right men for the job. Lakhia added that a dearth of professional stunt drivers in the industry was another reason for opting to go with the motorsports duo.
The 1973 original heralded a new era in Indian cinema and launched Bachchan as the man who would rule the box office in the years that followed. The legendary actor will also be a part of this project, which stars current Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal and Mahie Gill.
