Soon after being given first-aid, Peerzada was wheeled into the operation theatre where a corrective surgery was performed on his ear.
“His ear drum has been badly crushed in the scuffle. We performed a minor corrective surgery. The surgery has been successful and he is doing fine,” said Dr DK Baluja, executive director, Primus Super-specialty Hospital.
A CT scan of the head was also conducted as a precautionary measure which, however, showed no serious damage to the brain.
Admitted in the intensive care unit, Peerzada is complaining of numbness in the ear. The doctors are closely monitoring him.
“He is under observation and we are regularly checking his hearing power,” added Dr Baluja.
