Gambhir admitted, at times, he had crossed the line on the field, but had learnt from his mistakes. "I would show a lot of emotion on the field but have mellowed down with age. I remember that incident with Shane Watson (he had elbowed the Australian) and after that I apologized to everyone. Life is all about learning from mistakes."
Gambhir said the IPL or BCCI had nothing to do with the controversies that erupted off the field. "You can't blame them for everything. No one can control whatever happens outside the field."
