Meanwhile, the new DGCA chief Prashant Sukul denied reports of any file noting or official note in DGCA's record pertaining to a notice to be issued to Kingfisher Airlines (KFA).
"No such document exists in our records," Sukul said. The DGCA had written to KFA on May 25, a copy of which is with HT, expressing its satisfaction over the state of affairs of the airline. "After this, the KFA file was closed and there is no further noting on the file," a DGCA official said.
"It is both highly incorrect and mischievous to suggest that the transfer of DGCA was in anyway connected to KFA," KFA said in a statement.
Meanwhile, former aviation minister Vayalar Ravi expressed surprise over the removal Bhushan as DGCA chief. "It is a surprise to me that he has been removed," Ravi said.
