He is also charged with associated Frauds, he said further. The Hindustan Times had sent a email to south Wales Police of UK about the updates of the case, as case is related to this district. On the other hand local police sources said that local witnesses of the case may appear in the British court either personally or through video conferencing.
The circumstances of Mrs Davies' death were initially investigated by the Rajgarh Police, who at first believed she had fallen from the Giri River Bridge and found no suspicious circumstances. But following a request from Mrs Davies' family, South Wales Police's specialist investigations team reopened the case.
South Wales Police Detective Inspector Mark Lewis, the senior investigating officer, said: "It was believed that (Mrs Davies) had fallen from a height resulting in fatal injuries. The death was investigated by the Himachal Pradesh state police where no suspicious circumstances were found at that time.
"A review of this case was launched following a consultation with the family and an incident room was set up over the past 12 months by the British Police."
The South Wales Police had arrested John Clifton Davies on 10 November 2011 into the case. SP Ramesahwar Thakur said that UK police had approached on several issues related to this case so the Police was fully cooperating UK police in the investigation.
