The recently concluded Jaipur Literary festival raised many eyebrows. The festival was seen as a big tamasha with less focus on literary events.  People had come more for to see the celebrity authors, eat good food, and mingle with socailites than to hear the authors. Is it necessary to make serious literary platforms into a Page 3 festival?
