Sushil, bronze winner at Beijing Games, went injured into the match and four fights in a day did not help his cause.
"Injuries are part and parcel of the game. But I would have loved to hear the national anthem here. The golden days of wrestling (however) are back," the 29-year-old told NDTV referring to the bronze won by childhood friend Yogeshwar Dutt in the 60kg category on Saturday.
The national anthem is played at major international sporting events only for the gold winner.
