Filmmaker Prakash Jha’s new movie, Chakravyuh, which explores Maoist insurgency, will see actor Om Puri play a character inspired by Maoist leader, Kobad Ghandy.

“Prakash Jha’s plan was to take elements from Kobad ’s life and incorporate it into Om Puri’s character. But, Om got drawn to Kobad’s life and urged Prakash to make his character as close to Kobad’s as possible,” said a source from the project.
