Last month, Esha Deol was supposed to walk the ramp for a fashion show but changed her mind at the last moment. At the time the actor had clarified how the deal fell through. On Saturday night, Esha did walk the ramp and that too with her husband Bharat Takhtani on day four of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week at The Grand Hyatt, Santacruz. Surprisingly, none of the Deols were present to cheer the couple, who walked for the World Gold Council show. Their handcrafted gotta patti traditional Jaipuri outfits were designed by Anita Dongre. “As the concept was inspired by the seven sacred vows taken at a wedding, we were the perfect choice for it,” says Esha.

She’s no stranger to the runway but walking with her husband must have been special. “I have walked the ramp many times in the past, but walking with my husband is truly an amazing feeling. Whenever you walk the ramp alone, there is always the fear of tripping at the back of your mind. But when you have your man beside you, he would never ever let you fall,” she says. Even while walking on the ramp, the love that the newly married couple have for each other was very evident, when they paused and looked into each other’s eyes. She adds, “This was Bharat’s first ramp walk and he was very excited. He is always open to trying out something new.”
