Two men have been arrested on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl at Bhadeli village in Yamunangar, police said on Thursday. The crime took place on the intervening night of October 1 and 2, and the arrests came on Wednesday night after the victim's family approached the police.
Main accused Kaku, who was known to the victim, allegedly abducted her in a car. Later Kaku's friend Shauqat Ali also got into the car, and they took her to isolated fields in nearby village Bhadeli where they took turns raping her. The men, both of whom have been arrested, hail from Bichauli village near Bilaspur, said investigating officer Balwan Singh.

The incident comes in a series of such horrific acts against women during the past one month. During the past three days, two minor girls were allegedly raped in Rohtak district while a mentally challenged woman was sexually assaulted in Jind.

Prior to these incidents, a 19-year-old newly married woman of Banwasa village in Sonepat's Gohana was gangraped. Earlier, a rape incident took place in Hisar on September 9, where a Dalit teenage girl was gangraped in Dabra village.

After the Dabra gangrape incident, a married woman was gangraped in a Jind village, a teenage girl was gangraped by some youths in Gohana in Sonepat district while another teenage girl was raped in a moving jeep in Bhiwani district.
