The SGPC on Tuesday performed 'bhog' of Akhand Path in the memory of Harjinder Singh Jinda and Sukhdev Singh Sukha in the Harmandir Sahib complex.
Jinda's brother Bhupinder Singh and Sukha's kin Surjit Kaur were presented 'siropas' on the occasion.
SGPC secretary Dalmegh Singh was also present on the occasion. It was a low-key affair quite unlike the similar functions that were held in Golden Temple in the late 80's and early 90's.
A similar function was also held in Gadli village near Jandiala of Amritsar district. Gadli is the native village of Jinda, who was a member of Khalistan commando Force (KCF).
Barring a few villagers and relatives, no prominent citizen was present on the occasion.
The SGPC has been observing the death anniversaries of Jinda and Sukha since 1993.
Both were hanged in the year 1992.
