The Yamunanagar police on Wednesday evening arrested a Kala Amb resident for allegedly raping a minor girl.
The accused has been identified as 40-year-old Gurnam Singh. Station house officer (SHO) of Sadhaura police station, Sunil Kumar said that the alleged incident took place on Tuesday when the accused residing near the victim's residence offered her a lift in his car to Sadhaura.

"Victim said that after making leisure trip in the adjoining area, he sexually abused her at a secluded place in his vehicle. Following medical examination of the minor, a rape case was registered and the accused was arrested," said the SHO.

The 15-year-old victim hails from Bihar, but has been residing in Kala Amb with her parents.
