Prior to the big Diwali release, actors Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha, the lead pair of flick 'Son of Sardar' paid obeisance at Harmandar Sahib on Wednesday to seek blessings for the success of the film.
Actor and producer of the film Ajay was dressed in kurta-pyjama and wore a turban. Both the actors offered 'rumale' at the sanctum sanctorum while paying obeisance. During their visit to the shrine, the actors were surrounded by a sea of fans who were eager to catch a their glimpse. Ajay said he had wanted to pay obeisance at Harmandar Sahib before the release of the film since he felt that it would prove lucky. He also added that he was confident that his film would do well.
On her maiden visit to the shrine, Sonakshi exuded enthusiasm and happiness. "Though I had wanted to pay obeisance at Harmandar Sahib for a long time, this is for the first time I got a chance to come here. I feel very happy to be here and it is a very peaceful experience," she said. The actor had earlier expressed her love for Punjabi culture and food while shooting for the film in various parts of Punjab. Sonakshi's mother Poonam Sinha also accompanied her during the visit.

However, the actors did not talk much about the film, which invited controversy last month when members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the All-India Sikh Student Federation had raised objections over a few scenes and dialogues in the promos of the film. Following the controversy, Ajay had also met the members of these organisations.
