TravelTripalong: With more women travelling regularly, the need for travel apps is often felt. “Increased financial independence has enabled Indian women to indulge their travel bug. Many women are keen on exploring places on their own or with a group of fellow women-travellers. Travel apps are helpful in providing information and entertainment for such occasions. To cater to this need, MakeMyTrip launched Tripalong, a multi-airline social seating app. This app assists travellers to connect with their friends while travelling by integrating popular social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn and informing the customer of possible ‘intersections’ with their network during any upcoming travel,” says Manish Kalra of MakeMyTrip.
