Dengue and swine flu are going viral in Gurgaon with the city reporting 149 cases of dengue so far, with five people succumbing to the disease. Cases of swine flu increased to four from three on Saturday.
But the disparity in the crunching numbers remain. The health department on Saturday confirmed only one dengue death while private hospitals claim the death count has reached five. The number of suspected dengue cases has reached 750, reveal official records.

The huge difference in official figures and cases received by private hospitals could be gauged from the fact that while official cases are just 149, Alchemist and Artemis hospitals have reported 100 and 131 cases, respectively.  

Similarly, Alchemist hospital has registered a fresh case of swine flu, taking the count to four. But according to the health department, the cases stay at three.

The fourth case, from sector 55, was registered on October 7. The 55-year-old woman is in the isolation ward at Artemis hospital.
