Madhya Pradesh Medical Officers Association will proceed on mass leave on October 16 for their demand of implementing four-layer pay scale. President of the association Dr Lalit Shrivastava said ‘no approach’ has been made by the government till now regarding mass leave. He said on July 2012, the government doctors refused to submit mass resignation after the assurance of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

He said at that ti me Chouhan instructed to made a committee which included water resources minister Jayant Malaiya and chief secretary R Parsuram to resolve the issue of doctors but still administrative officers were not approving four-layer pay scale.

Dr Shrivastava said forms for mass leave have been filled by almost all the doctors of government hospitals.

Members of the association are also putting banners at various places in across the state for propagating the reason behind the strike.
