Khurshid and his wife are facing allegations of forging signature of officials to benefit the Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust. They have denied the charges.
Prasad also demanded an independent inquiry by a Supreme Court judge into allegations that lands belonging to Dalits in Haryana had been sold to companies owned by Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
"It (sale of Dalits' land) is very unfortunate and regrettable. An independent inquiry should be initiated possibly under a Supreme Court Judge into the matter," he said.
Asked whether BJP was scared of taking action against former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa even after he declared his intention to launch a new party, Prasad said the matter was in consideration by the central leadership.
"Yeddyurappa is a senior leader. Beyond this I have nothing more to comment," he added.
