Luc Besson's production directed by Olivier Megaton is a hit in North America.

Taken 2 retained its number one spot grossing $22.5M, dominating Argo starring and directed by Ben Affleck ($20.12M, in North America only).

Second place goes to Hotel Transylvania, with $31M.
