Land price for project in Odisha to go up
The companies interested in setting up their units may not get land at concessional rate anymore in Odisha. The Odisha government's State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) has decided to make the cost of land for industry at par with the benchmark price of the area. "The state government is contemplating revision of concessional rate available to industries according to Industrial Policy Resolution 2007," chairman and managing director of state owned Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) G Mathivathan said after a high level meeting of SLSWCC on Wednesday evening.
The meeting chaired by chief secretary BK Patnaik however deliberated on giving special concession to industries interested to set up unit linked to social infrastructure projects like health, education, information technology and power.
