South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has announced it is launching its much awaited Galaxy SIII mini on 8 November.

The compact version of the world's best-selling Android phone, the Galaxy SIII, will come with free games The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2. According to the Telegraph, the Mini features a 4" screen compared to the regular SIII's 4.8" version.

It also offers a dual core processor rather than the quad core in the main model, the report said.

It will compete directly with Apple's new iPhone 5, which also has a 4" screen, it added.
