"He (Jagdish Sharma) seems to be a close aide of Gandhi family. Has the Nehru-Gandhi family descended to Khurshid's (External affairs minister Salman Khurshid) level where they would send goons to disrupt our meeting?" a statement from IAC said.
IAC also said that in such circumstances, any attack on their activists would have to be presumed to be at the behest of the Congress if unless the contrary is proved.
The organisation added that the pictures were also available on its website and Facebook. Sharma, a former Congress worker, shouted slogans against IAC leader Arvind Kejriwal at the activist's press conference in Delhi on October 31.When Kejriwal was taking questions from reporters, Sharma stood up and asked him why he was not answering questions by politicians. He asked Kejriwal why he was never posted outside Delhi when he was an Indian Revenue Service officer.Kejriwal asked his supporters to allow Sharma to speak, but three youths started shouting slogan against the activist. One of the youths tried to throw a shoe at Kejriwal but was overpowered by IAC supporters.
Sharma admitted that he threw a shoe at Kejriwal but denied the Congress had ordered him. "There are many pictures of many workers like the one which has been shown. This does not mean that they had asked me to carry out (the protest). This was my own reaction as a common man.
"I hurled a shoe at Kejriwal because he has tarnished the image of country infront of the whole world. I am a worker of Congress but not a leader," he said.
