It was a memorable experience shooting for Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, say the film’s lead actors, Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi. The two visited HT House on Wednesday to promote the film, which hit screens yesterday, and revealed that the “writer of the film, which centres around a unique chicken recipe, is ironically a vegetarian”.

We asked Kunal, 35, if he learnt how to cook in the process of shooting, and he said: “I learnt nothing more than how to cut onions and tomatoes.” As for Huma, 26, she’s happy to have pleased her dad by working in the film. “My dad owns a restaurant in Delhi and he’s happy that I did a food film as now, somehow, I’m also connected to food,” she said. The actors also said that they had a “really amazing time shooting for the film in Punjab, meeting the locals and even learning swear words from the kids there.
