The suspect will be produced before a district court here on Saturday. The police said Singh had accepted to have made the threat call.

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday said that the protection of IAS officer Ashok Khemka was his responsibility.Speaking on the sidelines of inauguration of field hostel complex of the Haryana Urban Development Authority here on Friday, Hooda said: “Earlier, I had told the chief secretary that if he had received threat calls, he should be given security. It is our responsibility.”
Khemka’s lawyer Anupam Gupta, who is a senior advocate at the Punjab and Haryana high court, had earlier alleged that the IAS officer was receiving threat calls. The IAS officer had recently ordered the cancellation of mutation of 3.5 acre in Gurgaon belonging to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra in his capacity as the land consolidation director general-cum-inspector general of registration. He was then transferred as managing director of the Haryana Seeds Development Corporation (HSDC).
On October 30, the HSDC office had received a call on a landline phone. The operator said the caller used abusive language and issued a threat to Khemka.
