Facing corruption charges, BJP president Nitin Gadkari said on Sunday that he was ready to face any probe. He was addressing party workers after inaugurating the newly-constructed party office at Ujjain and Dhar. Reiterating that the corruption charges against him were part of a conspiracy, Gadkari said ever since Congress had been exposed by the CAG reports, they were targeting him. "I am clean and is ready to face any investigation," said the BJP leader.

Earlier, Gadkari made a quiet entry at Indore and left for Ujjain from airport itself along with chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP state president Prabhat Jha. He also inaugurated the party office at Dhar.

Lavishing praise on chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for all-round development, Gadkari said that the way investment proposals came during the recently concluded Global Investors' Summit, the state will develop by leaps and bounds in next two years. "In next two years, Madhya Pradesh will be the top three states of the country," he said.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that Gadkari had patted Chouhan. At the party's national council meeting in New Delhi, Gadkari had lauded the record agricultural growth in Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP president said the state countered the UPA's political strategies and came out with flying colours by procuring 85 lakh tonne wheat and becoming one of the three largest producers of the grain in the country. He also appreciated the "historical" step of laying the foundation of a University for Buddhist and Indic Studies in Sanchi by the MP government.

Speaking at a function at Dhar, the chief minister said that the just concluded investors' summit, Dhar will get 38 industries worth more than Rs. 14,000 crore. "These industries will provide employment to more than 84,000 people," said the CM.
