The list of the 150 buildings, from the hills of Darjeeling to the forests of Sundarbans, will be accompanied by photographs and facts.
"It will take a minimum of six months to edit, design and publish the book. I will look after the design part, and scholars and historians will help out in the editing process," Shuvaprasanna said.
Following the publishing, restoration work will be undertaken for the enlisted buildings.
The commission also plans to publish a book on the heritage of each district of West Bengal.
"We plan to include the temples, famous monuments of each district along with the associated art and craft," said the chairman.
