Swift action by a Delhi traffic police constable, who was alerted about a chain snatching incident, led to the arrest of the robbers on Friday.
Pradeep Kumar Jha, 22, pursuing BSc in electronic media course from a university in Chennai, was arrested with his juvenile accomplice by Delhi traffic police constable Ajay Gulia after a 2km-long chase in West Vinod Nagar.

Joint commissioner of police (traffic) Satyendra Garg said, "Gulia was deployed at Mayur Vihar Phase II traffic intersection. A motorcyclist informed him that he was chasing two youths who had snatched the gold chain of a woman near Mangalam T-point bus stop."

"Gulia joined the motorcyclist in nabbing them. After a 2km-long chase, Gulia caught hold of the juvenile snatcher who was riding pillion and pushed him off the bike. He was arrested but his accomplice managed to flee on the motorcycle," said Garg, adding that Gulia alerted the police who then arrested Jha.
