The Bandra police, who have recovered valuables stolen by Mohammad Ansari alias Badshah from the Perry Cross road flat of a 27-year-old Spanish woman, are still looking for a piece of clothing. Ansari had allegedly raped the woman and robbed her at knifepoint. The police said they were in process of preparing a strong case against Ansari, who in the past managed to get bail soon after getting arrested.

Vishwas Nangre Patil, additional commissioner of police, west region, said that while they recovered the stolen goods, a piece of clothing was still missing, which is believed to contain DNA samples of the accused.

He said the police had managed to recover a gown worn by the victim.

The police on Saturday found a camera, a watch and some foreign currency that Ansari had robbed from the victim’s flat.
Police claim that Ansari has at least 28 cases of thefts and robberies registered against him.
