After establishing that Bidushi Dash-Barde, who was found dead at her Andheri residence on October 22, was murdered, police are now re-evaluating the evidence they have collected so far to check for any aspect they might have missed out before. “We have so far questioned about 30 people, including residents and security personnel of Bidushi’s building at Manish Nagar Housing society, her friends, her husband Kedar, both their families, moneylenders and agents who coordinated assignments for her, among others. We will go through their statements again,” said an official from the DN Nagar police.

The police have not been able to get any leads on the accused yet . “Crime branch officials are conducting a parallel probe. They have also questioned these people to find leads on the case,” said an official.

A senior official from the Mumbai crime branch said that although the case has not been officially transferred to them, they are pursuing certain leads.

Kedar found Bidushi in a pool of blood at their Andheri (West) residence on October 22. Based on his statement, the police initially recorded a case of accidental death.

However, after conducting a panchnama and investigating the nature of the injuries, the police registered a case of murder against an unidentified person.
