Ray reveals how romantic Dehni is when she shares the vow that he wrote for her. “When he said, ‘I accept you in all your glamourous colours and everyday greys. I love you with your beautiful hair and without them’ I was floored,” she admits.
Ray who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer in 2008 admits that life after cancer feels like a re-birth.
And even professionally, Ray is on a high. She is writing a book about her life. “Though untitled, the first draft of the book is ready and it should be out by the end of next year,” she says. She is also set to begin shooting for Top Chef Canada (Season II) soon and has bought the rights to adapt the book — The Tiger Claw by Shauna Singh Baldwin into a film. Besides, she plans to collaborate with Dehni for the Lisa Ray Foundation which will focus on Cancer Research in India.
