Police officials said, “The complainant admitted his pregnant wife to the private hospital on the MG Road on September 3. The patient did not have any complication but the gynaecologist advised for an operation. However, not convinced with the medical advice, the family shifted the patient to another hospital where the child was born through a normal delivery.”
Later, the family protested in front of the hospital and the latter allegedly threatened the family and tried to assault them.
However, the police refused to register a case. At last, the complainant went to the court.
Dr S Khanna, chairman of the private hospital, said, “The government health authorities had clarified in one of their reports that there was no medical negligence committed by the doctors in this case.”
