India on Sunday appealed to Israel and Palestine to exercise restraint.

"We are concerned at the escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine. A meeting on Palestine was held at the UNSC under India's presidency to send a message to the concerned to de-escalate the situation," said an MEA spokesperson.
