While dancing, one of them accidently dropped their mobile phone on the floor. According to police, when he tried to pick it up, the bouncers did not allow him to do so. An argument followed which soon turned into a brawl in which Singh and Kumar suffered minor injuries.
"The bouncers assaulted us without any reason and then threw us out of the pub," Devender Singh told HT.
The pub owner has denied the allegations. He said the bouncers were not at fault, instead the three men were misbehaving with a girl and his staff was just trying to protect her.
"Though no pubs/bars are allowed to keep bouncers, still this particular pub had deployed them…it is illegal. I have asked the mall management to provide the CCTV footage so that we can take appropriate action based on the video," deputy commissioner of police (east) Maheshwar Dayal said.
