More than 46.77 lakh tonnes of paddy has arrived in various mandis of Haryana during the current kharif season as compared to over 39.84 lakh tonnes arrived during the corresponding period last year. Stating this here on Monday, a food and supplies department spokesman said that of the total arrival of paddy, maximum quantity of paddy had arrived in Kurukshetra district which was over 8.71 lakh tonnes.

Similarly, Karnal district received over 8.40 lakh tonnes of paddy, Kaithal district over 6.71 lakh tonnes, Fatehabad over 5.99 lakh tonnes, Ambala received more than 4.94 lakh tonnes, Yamunanagar over 3.45 lakh tonnes, Jind over 2.63 lakh tonnes, Panipat over 1.68 lakh tonnes, Sirsa over 1.25 lakh tonnes, Sonepat over 1.11 lakh tonnes and Panchkula 74,536 tonnes, he added.
