“There are about 500-600 disputed plots in sectors 52 and 57. We are working on to provide fresh plots in same sectors. We will hold fresh draw within three months,” said the Huda Estate Officer.
Some 300 plots were issued during a recent draw, on September 21. However, many of these plots turned out to be disputed, after the original plot owners laid their claims on them on some ground or the other.
In December 2011, around 112 buyers who had not been able to take possession of the Huda plots in Sector 51 despite being legal allottees for seven years were provided alternative plots.
These were the plot allottees of 2004 who could not be handed over the property due to the ongoing legal dispute between the Huda and landowners.
During the last draw for alternative plots, affected allottees of sectors 52 and 57 could not be accommodated.
