In 2009-2010, Delhi’s 500-odd liquor stores and more than 250 pubs and bars had collectively sold 98.17 lakh cases of beer.
1.08 crore cases of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) - scotch, beer, vodka, gin, rum and wine - were sold in 2011-2012 in comparison to 92.58 lakh cases in 2010-2011. A year before (2009-2010), Delhiites consumed 79.71 lakh cases of IMFL.
The data was revealed in the Delhi Statistical Handbook 2021.
In 2011-2012, 465 new cars were added to Delhi’s vehicular population every day. The figure stood at 437 per day in 2011-2012.
Delhi’s vehicular population has now touched 74.38 lakh on March 31, 2012 in comparison to 69.32 lakh last year. Simply put, 1348 new vehicles were added to Delhi roads every day in 2011-2012.
Delhi’s per capita income at current prices without factoring in inflation has been estimated at Rs. 1,75,812, an increase of Rs. 25,159 from Rs. 1,50,653 in 2011-12.
