Meanwhile, the ruling BJP would finalise its first list of candidates in New Delhi on November 22.
Chief minister Narendra Modi, party state president RC Faldu, senior leader Purushottam Rupala and organising secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania would attend the meeting of the national parliamentary board in Delhi.
The 13-member state parliamentary board has prepared a list containing two names for each of the 87 assembly seats and the national body will make the final cut, said a BJP leader.
"The list might be released on Friday," he added.
On December 13, elections would be held for 48 seats in Saurashtra, 35 in south Gujarat and 4 seats in Ahmedabad Rural. The ruling party currently has over 50 MLAs.
"It remains to be seen how many sitting MLAs are dropped," he added.
