A day after the hanging of Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Ajmal Kasab, the family of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh broke its silence and thanked Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik for saying that the execution would have no bearing on the Sarabjit case.
Sarabjit's elder daughter Swapandeep Kaur said, "There is a lot of difference between the both cases. We again appeal to the Pakistan government to set my father free."

She said her family wanted that the Indian government should continue with its efforts for securing Sarabjit's release.

Sarabjit, lodged in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail for the past two decades, is on death row for his alleged involvement in the 1990 bomb blasts in Pakistan.
