Recovery of the body of a 20-year-old man from a canal in Morena on Friday, a day after his alleged lover's body was found, has confirmed police suspicion that it is a case of honour killing.
The 18-year-old girl's, Pooja, body was found in a well in her house.

Arvind Dhakad was recovered from a canal near Pason village after the girl's father Harnam Singh Jadaun, a resident of Kiratpur village in Sabalgarh police circle, confessed during police interrogation.
Earlier, he told the police that Dhakad had pushed his daughter in a well and ran away.
According to police sources, the man had gone to meet the girl and the two were standing near the well talking to each other when Jadaun and other family members spotted them.
Allegedly, the girl was pushed into the well and her lover was strangled to death. Later, his body was thrown into the canal.
Police said Pooja's family was upset over the relationship Arvind belonged to a backward caste.
The girl's father and three other family members have been booked in this case.
On November 19, Dhakad went missing. Pooja was also not seen after that.
The local police got air of the incident late on Tuesday evening when Dhakad's family approached the police and made a complaint against Pooja' father.
The investigators later found that Pooja had been thrown in the well in the house. Water was filled in the well to a height of around 25 feet.
Police registered the case on the complaint of the man's cousin Narendra Dhakad.
