"Due to lack of proper policy, the operation of nearly 3000 brick kilns of the state had come to halt on which more than 3 lakhs labourers are dependent. The owners of brick kilns had almost doubled the rates of bricks for their gains but they too had set aside the interests of workers working in industry," said state general secretary Comrade Raghunath Singh.
"Both Sand and crushers are being sold in black and state government had failed to check it fully," he added.
If the government failed to provide any relief the brick kiln industry, a 'Jail Bharo' campaign would be launched across the state to mark our protest, leaders warned on this occasion.
Besides this, a two-hour complete bandh would be observed in the state on December 18 to press for our long pending other demands, said President of union, Vijay Mishra.
