On the day Virender Sehwag was playing his 100th Test match at the Wankhede, the Delhi and District Cricket Association executive committee was looking forward to naming a stand at the Kotla after the Delhi dasher.

Unfortunately the meeting has been postponed as the DDCA president Arun Jaitely couldn't attend.

"We wanted to name the stands opposite the bowling ends after Sehwag, but because they are sponsored, we cannot do so. So, one of the side enclosures, pavilion or the gate, will named after Sehwag," said DDCA vice-president CK Khanna.

The decision comes after Sehwag had a few years back threatened to move away to Haryana, following differences with the DDCA.
