The police are also verifying whether Namdhari has a gun licence and was carrying the weapon when he entered the Chhatarpur property where the shootout took place.
"There will be cross questioning. He will be examined in front of his PSO Sachin Tyagi. The big question is under what circumstances did Tyagi fire. We couldn't find any bullet mark near the seat where Namdhari was sitting. So the claim of firing in self-defence is being verified," a senior police officer requesting anonymity said.
The Delhi Police had on Thursday hinted that Namdhari wanted his questioning to be done in Uttarakhand.
Sources said Namdhari was not in touch with the Delhi Police for the past three days and three teams were camping in Uttarakhand to nab him.
"The teams got to know that Namdhari is holding a press conference at his residence in Bajpur.
He was picked up before he started the conference," the officer added.
Asked if Namdhari remains a suspect in the shooting incident, a senior police official said, "As of today, everybody is a suspect. We are not giving a clean chit to anybody. It is the job of court."
Namdhari will be confronted with the seven men who have been arrested for trespassing. He will also be brought face to face with the detained Punjab Police personnel, PSOs of Chadha brothers.
In his statement, Namdhari had told the police that he came to meet Ponty at 9:30am and had moved to farmhouse number 42 with him at 12pm.
