In the city on Saturday, Hassan said: "I have been to India many times and found that there was a lot of interest in Pakistani designs. During my exhibitions also, these got a lot of attention. So, I contacted my friend, Minni Sandhu, in Amritsar, who showed interest in opening a store."
A wide range of designs would be showcased at the store," Hassan said. "Exclusive designer suits and prints, which are in demand in Pakistan, will be available."
Hassan said she had been participating in fashion shows in Pakistan, United Kingdom and other countries. "Coming to India always gives me joy," she added.
Sandhu, who is already in the clothing business said, "I have met Shirin a few times; her designs really impressed me."
"Wedding garments designed by Hassan will be another highlight of the store," said Sandhu. "It is expected to open in about two weeks."
