Not many would have given an England victory even a passing thought before this Test. But the stunning win has revived England's ambitions of a first series win here in 28 years.
“Test matches in India take a lot out of us. But when we get to Kolkata (for the third Test from Dec 5) we will train with the same purpose and intensity that we did here,” England captain Alastair Cook said.
“We could have put our heads down after the Ahmedabad loss, but we did not,” said Cook.
Kevin Pietersen's innings was influential in the crushing victory in the end.
“That's why you want Pietersen in the team. There are not many in the world who can bat like him,” said Cook.
