"The department, in collaboration with international NGO Sightsavers, would organise medical camps in six districts to identify students, who are not able to see and study properly. The camp will be held from December 11-20."
He added that they have appointed coordinators to identify other students who could benefit from the disease. The government calls them Intrusive Education for Disabled (IED) coordinators.
"The coordinators will identify children from across government schools that have not yet been enrolled by the department and refer them to the hospitals. Citizens can contact the IED coordinator, informing him about the presence of the targeted student (s) in their areas," he said.
He added that citizens can e-mail such details on email@example.com or could call state nodal officer, Bhavneet Gupta at 98728-34324.
He added that the department would also provide printed books with big font, lens or any other requirements, if needed.
